Music is a universal language. It helps us to convey emotion and connect with the deepest part of ourselves, with who we are at soul level. My first encounter with music was when I was a 10 year old boy. My parents were visiting friends who had an organ in 1975. I got mesmerized with their Lowrey organ and started playing melodies. Soon after my parents bought a Lowry Jupiter organ and I had some introductory lessons, which kickstarted my journey as a musician. I picked up skills superfast, learned chords and vamps and soon I was playing in the Sunday School. Later in the 1980s I developed piano skills and for decades I was a church musician, with a passion for song writing, composing and recording.
My first recording device was a Fostex X-15 4-track, with a Korg DDR-1 drum machine and a Korg Poly-800 synth. Later, I shifted to Midi and in the 1990s bought an Atari ST1040 and used C-Lab Notator to record. I got a DX7s Synth, a few synth modules and loved that I was able to record and compose. I shelved these skills for a few years to focus on my IT career and recently continued to follow my passion for recording. Nowadays I compose on my PC, using a variety of Virtual instruments and libraries.
